In posting this blog, it is my purpose to track the process of my application for a “Facility Dog” to join me in my work as a clergyman, and the training that goes with it.
This is a picture of Bailey who died last summer. His lasting gift is the discovery of canine logical and emotional intelligence far beyond I had ever imagined. From this a desire not to replace my good friend, but only to extend the dialogue I began with Bailey, into future generations. JHC

Dear John,
Is that you? Columbia College class of 1968? I noticed your Israel-Palestinian involvement. I’m trying to help mediate the Bedouin land claims in the Negev. You can see more at http://www.cbuilding.org (The Consensus Building Institute) or at http://www.pon.harvard.edu (The Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School). Congratulations on all your good works.
Larry
Yes, Larry, it’s me.
I want to talk with you.
How can I reach you?
John (Columbia ‘67)
